We have gathered together some of the most talented and on the rise filmmakers who share our passion for sci-fi and film.

 

 WRITER/DIRECTOR

GAÏA GIAFFERI    Gaïa is a multi-skilled filmmaker/writer who works mainly as a continuity supervisor on short and feature films, but also as camera operator on events and occasional editor and photographer. She directed a few short films back at university where she studied Film Production at UCA (University for the Creative Arts) and won the Lido award at the 2011 French film festival “Sur les Pas de Mon Oncle” for “Across the Border”. Since then she has been working on film shoots while writing a number of short and medium length screenplays that she is intending to direct with Unseen Films.

ROMAN WOLUJEWICZ    Roman is a filmmaker/writer who met Gaia while also studying Film Production at UCA, where they worked on several projects together and began laying the foundations for a future partnership. Since leaving university, he spent 3 years working in corporate film as a Multimedia Editor before going freelance, allowing him to focus primarily on his writing, while still working on events and fashion photography projects.

RUARAID ACHILLEOS-SARLL    Ruaraid is a London based cinematographer.  Over the last five years I've shot two feature films, countless shorts and many music videos, documentaries and commercials. He's made films for Marks & Spencers, Harrods, Top Shop, British Gas and the Royal Opera House.

ARIANE MOLINATTI    Ariane is a producer based in London. Working as an art journalist at French Radio London, she quickly developed a network within the industry while increasing her knowledge of the London arts scene. Ariane started working on various projects and became PR and Marketing agent for the independent film “Orange Fever”. In parallel, she worked for a number of highly respected film and music festivals. In 2011, she produced the independent feature debut “A Morass” with Paradyll Productions and a few music videos before beginning pre-production work on Paradyll’s second feature length venture “Diaphanous Grandeur & The Prisoners Of Grace”.

FABIEN WALTMANN    Fabien has worked for many years in the music industry after arriving in London in 1993.  Madonna, No Doubt, Etienne Daho, U2, Katy Perry to name a few. Since 2013, Fabien has decided to go back to his first love: doing music for images. He sign his first score for a short called “Trash” Directed by Nicole Albarelli who then ask him to score for her first feature called “To Dream”. In 2015 he score his 2nd feature for French Director called Cyril Morin. You can also hear his very touching score that he produced in 2014 for “Son Of Aram”, a documentary directed by Mika Rosenfeld. Fabien has a unique touch and enjoys working with a very large palette of sounds. Multi-instrumentalist, Fabien’s only aim is to create a very distinctive sonic.

SOUND DESIGNER

DION THORPE    Dion is a freelance editor and sound editor based in Cardiff. He undertakes all kinds of work from feature films and pieces for television, to short films, corporates and promos.  Dion was nominated for Best Sound Editing in 2012 at the Watersprite Awards, for “The Water’s Edge” (sound recordist/designer, composer).

SPIKE ZEPHANIAH STEPHENSON    Illustrator first and foremost, Spike’s work crosses into various practices, such as writing, animation, puppetry and graphic design. He has made illustrations for a wide range of uses and audiences, from graphic novels to logos to live performance drawing. Spike’s work tends to carry a slightly macabre feel, but is often peppered with comedic touches.

JASON KELVIN    Having completed a degree in Theatre Design at Nottingham University Jason has over twenty years experience working as a designer, model maker, scene painter and prop maker in television, film and theatre. As well as being able to produce both visuals and models, he has a large range of practical skills that enable him to work creatively on sets within budget and time.

VFX supervisor

IVAN CIPRIANI    Ivan is a visual effect artist/supervisor with several years of experience in the field. He started off as an editor in a small firm in Rome, Italy and then moved into the creation of visual images. He’s been freelancing in the industry for the past 8 years and worked on many hollywood films and series (Game of Thrones), perfecting his skills.  His main goal is to support the creative process of filmaking by designing invisible effects aimed to enhance the storytelling.
